God isn't merely the One who gives me my portion. God IS my portion.
Peace isn't merely the absence of a storm. Peace is knowing Who is in the boat.
Hard with God is still safer than easy without Him. Don't simply ask which road is easier. Ask which road God is on.
Shame says, “Hide until you're better.” Grace says, “Come closer and let God work on you.”
The deepest question isn't whether God can have my possessions, plans or future. The question is: Can God have me?
Asaph thought he was holding onto God until he realized that God had been holding onto him.
I almost slipped — but He held me.
I got confused — but He held me.
I questioned — but He held me.
I wandered — but He held me.
I didn't understand — but He held me.
I want God's presence more than my preference.
I want His peace more than control.
I want His direction more than an easier road.
I want His heart more than what's in His hand.
I want Jesus more than the answer.
GOD IS THE STRENGTH OF MY HEART
AND MY PORTION FOREVER.
