Remember to Say Thanks

Good Morning Ekklesia

Remember that time you went out of your way to help someone in need, spent money you didn't have, all for them NOT to say "thank you." You may have felt violated and unappreciated. You may have gone as far to say "I will never help that person again." And as sure as you are thinking about that selfish, ungrateful person... someone may be thinking of you in the same way. 😯

Everyone likes to feel appreciated. I remember a job satisfaction survey years ago that showed employees were willing to accept less pay if they received more recognition and felt appreciated. The power of appreciation cannot be underestimated. Many marriages fail because one or both parties feel “taken for granted” – unappreciated. Friendships fall by the wayside because friends lose touch. They lose touch because they don’t make time to keep in touch and appreciate each other.

None of us are perfect, we fail at times. This is not an excuse, just facts. But since we understand facts, and understanding how we felt when we were unappreciated, let's strive to be better! Remember to say "Thanks" when they do something for you. A card, letter, text, email still works wonders in brightening someone's day. Look at what Paul tells the Colossians...

And let the peace that comes from Christ rule in your hearts. For as members of one body you are called to live in peace. And always be thankful. Let the message about Christ, in all its richness, fill your lives. Teach and counsel each other with all the wisdom he gives. Sing psalms and hymns and spiritual songs to God with thankful hearts. And whatever you do or say, do it as a representative of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks through him to God the Father. Colossians 3:15‭-‬17 NLT

And let me say, I thank you and appreciate you being in my life.

❤ u more than u know

Peace and Blessings Stephan
