A New Day with The Lord

Good morning Ekklesia Family

"This is the day the Lord has made. We will rejoice and be glad in it." – Psalm 118:24 (NLT)

Today is more than the turning of a calendar page; it is a gift from the Lord, a blank canvas filled with His mercies and opportunities. Psalm 118:24 reminds us that every day—especially this first day of a new year—is a divine creation. It is an invitation to step into God’s plans with joy and faith. The Hebrew term for "rejoice" implies active celebration, and "be glad" points to a deep, enduring gratitude. God is calling us not to dwell on yesterday's failures or tomorrow's uncertainties but to embrace His presence in this moment.

1. Let Go of Yesterday:

Leave behind the mistakes, hurts, and disappointments of 2024. Trust that God’s forgiveness and grace have covered them all. "But if we confess our sins to him, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all wickedness." – 1 John 1:9 (NLT)

2. Embrace Today:

Dedicate this new day to God, making space for His plans to unfold. Take time in prayer and the Word, aligning your heart with His will.

3. Step into Purpose:

Recognize that today is an opportunity to serve others, to shine Christ’s light, and to make a difference. "For we are God’s masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things he planned for us long ago." – Ephesians 2:10 (NLT)

4. Live Expectantly:

Trust God to bring beauty and blessing into this year, even in unexpected ways. His plans for you are good!

Heavenly Father, we thank You for this new day and the gift of a new year. We surrender every part of our lives to You—our hopes, our fears, and our plans. Help us to walk in faith, joy, and obedience, trusting that Your mercies are new every morning. Give us strength to let go of the past and courage to embrace the future. Lead us to live each moment for Your glory. In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.

If you have never invited Jesus into your heart, today is the perfect day to do so. The Bible says, "If you openly declare that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved." – Romans 10:9 (NLT)

“Lord Jesus, I confess my sins and turn away from them. I believe You died for me and rose again. I invite You to be my Savior and Lord. Lead me, guide me, and help me to follow You every day. Amen.”
