Be Ready Stay Ready
Being Ready and Staying Ready
“So you, too, must keep watch! For you don’t know what day your Lord is coming.” (Matthew 24:42, NLT)
Good morning Ekklesia Family
Jesus' call to "keep watch" in Matthew 24:42 is a spiritual wake-up call. In this passage, He addresses His disciples about the coming of the Son of Man. The emphasis is on spiritual readiness — living in constant awareness of His imminent return. The Greek term grēgoreō means to be vigilant and spiritually alert, emphasizing an ongoing, active state of readiness. Being ready isn't just about avoiding sin; it’s about living in a dynamic, surrendered relationship with Jesus Christ.
1. Live with Purpose: Align your life with God's kingdom agenda. Pursue righteousness and serve others with love. (Matthew 6:33)
2. Stay Spiritually Alert: Maintain daily fellowship with God through prayer, worship, and Scripture reading. (1 Thessalonians 5:16-18)
3. Walk in the Spirit: Allow the Holy Spirit to guide your actions, keeping your faith vibrant and your love for others active. (Galatians 5:25)
4. Be Accountable: Surround yourself with a community of believers, like Ekklesia Christian Life Ministries, where you can grow, serve, and be encouraged in your faith journey.
Let's Pray...
Heavenly Father, I surrender my life to You. Help me to stay spiritually alert, living with purpose and passion for Your Kingdom. Fill me with Your Holy Spirit, guiding me in truth and love. May I be ready when You call me home or when You return. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
