"Good Friday Was Yesterday... But Sunday Is Coming!"
John 19:30 (NLT) – “It is finished!”Luke 24:6 (NLT) – “He isn’t here! He is risen from the dead!”

THE WEIGHT OF FRIDAY Yesterday was Good Friday—a day marked by darkness, sorrow, and sacrifice. The Savior of the world hung on a cross, rejected and ridiculed. The sky grew dark, the earth trembled, and hope seemed to die. For many, it looked like the end.
But for the believer… we know: Sunday is coming.
Imagine watching a movie, and the hero is down. Everyone’s left the theater, assuming defeat. But you—who’ve seen the ending—stay seated, smiling, because you know the comeback is coming. That’s what the cross looked like to the world—defeat. But the resurrection was already written into the script.
On Good Friday, Jesus declared, “It is finished”—not “I am finished.” He fulfilled every prophecy, bore our sin, and conquered death by dying.
But in Luke 24:6, the message of Easter morning rings out: “He is not here! He is risen!” That empty tomb is heaven’s loudest shout of victory!
Some of us are living in a “Friday season”—disappointed, discouraged, delayed. But resurrection is on the way. God does His best work in dark places. What looks like a grave today may be the launching pad for your next miracle. Don’t quit in the waiting. Don’t bury what God plans to resurrect.
When life feels silent—remember, Saturday was quiet, but God was still moving.
When your faith is weary—remind yourself that even Jesus was buried before He rose.
When others give up—stand firm and declare: “My Sunday is coming!”
Let the memory of the cross remind you of His love. Let the truth of the empty tomb remind you of His power.
Good Friday cried, “It’s over.”But Sunday shouted, “It’s begun!”The grave was not a period—It was just a comma in the story of the Son.
Father, thank You for the cross—and thank You for the resurrection. When we feel stuck in Friday, remind us that You’ve already written Sunday into our story. Help us wait with hope, live with power, and walk in resurrection victory. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
If you’re in a Friday season, come to the One who overcame death. The same power that raised Jesus from the grave is available to you today. Come, surrender, and walk in the promise of resurrection. Your Sunday is coming.
