DESIRE AND POWER

Desire and Power

Good morning Ekklesia Family

“For God is working in you, giving you the desire and the power to do what pleases him.” – Philippians 2:13 (NLT)

The Apostle Paul reminds the believers in Philippi that their spiritual journey is empowered by God Himself. When our energy runs low, our motivation fades, and we struggle with life's pressures, God's Spirit continues to work within us, shaping our will and strengthening our resolve. The phrase "giving you the desire and the power" signifies that even when our feelings are absent, God’s grace equips us to persevere. This scripture highlights divine partnership — God's empowerment and our obedience.

1. Acknowledge Your Feelings: Be honest with God. He already knows. Pray like David did in the Psalms—transparent and vulnerable.

2. Remember God's Presence: Reflect on God's faithfulness in past struggles. If He brought you through before, He will again.

3. Take One Step at a Time: Even a small act of obedience can reignite your spiritual flame. Read one verse, say one prayer, or help one person.

4. Rest in God's Strength: Trust that God's Spirit will carry you when your strength is gone. He is not dependent on your feelings but on His eternal power.

Heavenly Father, I come before You feeling weary and unmotivated. Renew my heart and mind through Your Spirit. Stir up a fresh desire within me to seek Your will and walk in obedience. I surrender my doubts and discouragement to You, trusting that You will give me the strength to persevere. Let Your power work in me, even when I don't feel like it. In Jesus' Name, Amen.

If you are struggling today, know that Jesus is calling you into a life of purpose, peace, and transformation. Surrender your life to Him, and experience His renewing power.
