"Born Looking Like Our Parents, We Die Looking Like Our Decisions"

Today, I trust in the decision to follow Christ. Each choice we make shapes our lives and reflects where our trust lies. As children, we are born looking like our parents, but as we grow, we begin to resemble the decisions we make. Proverbs 3:5-6 reminds us to "Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to Him, and He will make your paths straight."

When we trust our own wisdom over God’s, we risk making decisions that lead us away from His will. Like the children of Israel in the wilderness, our choices can delay the blessings God intends for us if we do not align them with His purpose. However, when we choose to trust God and seek His guidance, we make decisions that not only reflect His glory but lead us to eternal fulfillment in Him.

Each day presents opportunities to make decisions that either draw us closer to God or distance us from Him. As a parent, you make decisions that shape not only your life but the lives of your children. Ask yourself: Can I trust my decisions today? Have I sought God's wisdom in them? Begin by inviting Him into every decision—big or small. It is through prayer and surrender that we secure a future led by His perfect will.

Heavenly Father, we come before You today, trusting in Your wisdom above our own. Help us to make decisions that reflect Your love, grace, and purpose. Guide us as we choose paths that lead to life, joy, and peace in You. Strengthen us as parents and leaders to model faithfulness in our decision-making, for our children and future generations. Amen.
