Kindness
Kindness: Loaning Strength, Not Highlighting Weakness
Good morning Ekklesia
Kindness is more than an act—it’s a reflection of God’s heart. It’s not about noticing someone’s faults or reminding them of where they fall short. Instead, true kindness is offering strength when someone feels weak, hope when they’re discouraged, and grace when they’ve made mistakes.
The Bible calls us to live this out in Galatians 6:2 (NIV):
"Carry each other’s burdens, and in this way, you will fulfill the law of Christ."
Jesus modeled this perfectly. When the woman caught in adultery was brought before Him (John 8), He didn’t condemn her or shame her. Instead, He extended mercy, saying: “Neither do I condemn you; go and sin no more.” In her moment of deepest failure, Jesus loaned her His strength when she had none left in herself.
In the same way, God calls us to embody His love by being His hands and feet. When we choose kindness, we become instruments of His grace. We lift burdens, heal wounds, and restore broken hearts through our words and actions.
Take a moment today and ask yourself: Who around me needs strength instead of judgment? Maybe it’s a coworker struggling with a task, a family member going through a difficult season, or even a stranger in need of a kind word. Choose to encourage rather than criticize, to lift rather than weigh down. You may never know how much one act of kindness can change a life.
Heavenly Father, thank You for showing us kindness through Jesus Christ. We surrender our hearts to You, asking that You fill us with compassion and love for others. Help us see people through Your eyes and respond with mercy instead of criticism. May our lives reflect Your character in every word and action. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
If you’re seeking a deeper relationship with Jesus Christ and want to grow in your faith, we invite you to connect with us at Ekklesia Christian Life Ministries. Remember: Kindness isn’t about recognizing someone’s weakness—it’s about sharing the strength that comes from God. Be blessed!
