Love God's Way

Good morning Ekklesia

"But anyone who does not love does not know God, for God is love." — 1 John 4:8 (NLT)

The apostle John reminds us that the essence of God is love. This love is not based on conditions, emotions, or fleeting feelings but is rooted in His unchanging nature. God demonstrated His love by sending Jesus Christ to die for us while we were still sinners (Romans 5:8). This love is sacrificial, intentional, and transformational. It calls us to love others as He has loved us (John 13:34).

1. Love Without Conditions: Love those who challenge you or who may not reciprocate kindness. Extend grace, knowing God loved you first.

2. Forgive as Christ Forgave: Release grudges and bitterness. Forgiveness is an act of love that frees you and reflects God’s heart.

3. Serve with Compassion: Use your time, resources, and gifts to meet the needs of others. Love is often shown in action, not just words.

4. Be a Witness of Love: Share the gospel, not out of obligation but from a heart of love for God and others.

Heavenly Father, thank You for loving me unconditionally and teaching me what true love looks like through Jesus Christ. I surrender my heart to You today and ask for Your Spirit to fill me with love that reflects Your heart. Help me to love even when it is difficult, to forgive as You forgave me, and to serve others with compassion. Let my life be a testimony of Your great love. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

If you have not experienced God’s transformative love, today is the day to accept Jesus Christ as your Savior. He loves you deeply and desires a relationship with you. Join us at Ekklesia Christian Life Ministries, where we grow together in Christ's love. Visit us at ekklesiachristianlife.org or worship with us Sundays at noon at 3960 Cane Run Rd. Let us walk this journey of love and faith together!
