Love it when God Helps You Remember
I Love When God Helps Me Remember
GmEkklesia, as I walk outside my house and glance at my neighbor's new garage, I'm instantly reminded of a church building that once stood as a beacon of faith in my life. The church where I first pastored on my own, House of Prayer Missionary Baptist Church, the building still stands tall, now under the Anointed leadership of Pastor James E. Byars and the congregation of Fountain of Faith.
There were many things I did right in that church, and just as many things I could have done differently—choices I should have prayed about more. At times, regret tries to grip my heart, but then God, in His infinite grace, helps me remember. As I look at the garage, it resembles that church building I once helped build, a smaller version of the great work that still stands today.
This visual reminder fills my heart with gratitude because it tells me that though I may have faltered, God's grace is greater. He forgives, He restores, and He brings growth even out of our missteps. Today, I stand encouraged because God helps me remember, not to dwell in the past, but to see how He has worked through it all to bring about His purposes. The Ekklesia still stands, both physically and spiritually, as a testament to His enduring faithfulness.
May God send you reminders.
Thank You, God, for the reminders You place in our lives. They help us see that You are a God of second chances, that You are the same yesterday, today, and forever. I love the fact that You help me to remember. Let me live each day in the assurance of Your grace, trusting that You will continue to lead me forward in Your purposes.
