Proverbs 19:17

Proverbs 19:17"Whoever is kind to the poor lends to the Lord, and He will reward them for what they have done."
Good Morning Ekklesia Family
Imagine a farmer planting seeds in dry soil, trusting that rain will come. He may not see the harvest immediately, but in due season, his faithfulness brings abundance. Likewise, when we show kindness to those in need, we are sowing into God's eternal kingdom—an investment with divine returns.
This verse reveals a powerful spiritual principle: generosity toward the poor is not just an act of charity—it is an act of faith in God's justice. The Hebrew word for “lends” (lavah) implies a sacred transaction where God Himself guarantees repayment. In His divine economy, no act of kindness goes unnoticed or unrewarded.
Jesus echoed this truth in Matthew 25:40: “Whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.” When we give, we are not losing; we are positioning ourselves for God’s divine provision and favor.
Look for Opportunities to Give – Whether through finances, time, or encouragement, seek ways to bless those in need.
Trust God’s Reward – Even when it seems unnoticed, God sees and will repay in ways beyond material wealth.
Serve with a Heart of Love – True generosity flows from a heart transformed by Christ’s love.
Heavenly Father, thank You for the privilege of serving You by serving others. Open my eyes to see those in need and give me a generous heart. Help me trust in Your promises, knowing that You are my provider and my rewarder. Let my giving reflect Your love, bringing glory to Your name. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
