Soft Words

Good morning Ekklesia Family
Proverbs 15:1 says “A gentle answer deflects anger, but harsh words make tempers flare.”
In a world that rewards the loudest voice, the Spirit-filled believer is called to a different volume. Soft words don’t mean weak words—they are powerful because they are guided by the Spirit and spoken in love. Speak to your spouse in kindness. Answer your co-worker in calmness. Even respond to your enemy with grace. Watch how God turns wrath into reconciliation and offense into opportunity. Choose to build bridges, not walls.
Lord Jesus,
Help me to tame my tongue and speak with the heart of heaven. Fill me with gentleness that reflects Your Spirit and wisdom that defuses conflict. Teach me to turn away wrath—not by winning arguments, but by walking in love. I surrender my pride and yield to Your peace. Let my words be seasoned with grace, seasoned with truth, and soaked in Your Spirit. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
If you desire to live a life where your words bring healing, hope, and holy transformation—then surrender your heart to Jesus Christ. He is the Word made flesh, and when He dwells in you, even your softest whisper can carry heaven’s authority. Join us at Ekklesia Christian Life Ministries, where we walk in truth, speak in love, and live in the Spirit. Visit ekklesiachristianlife.org and discover how powerful soft words can be when they come from a surrendered life.
