Thanking God in Advance
Thanking God in Advance
“Faith shows the reality of what we hope for; it is the evidence of things we cannot see.” — Hebrews 11:1 (NLT)
Good morning Ekklesia
Faith is not just about believing in what we see; it’s the bold confidence in God’s promises, even when those promises haven’t materialized yet. Hebrews 11:1 reminds us that faith is the evidence, the substance, of our hopes. When we thank God in advance for what we’ve asked, we align ourselves with His will, declaring, "Lord, I trust You completely." This pleases God because it shows our dependence on Him, our trust that His timing and ways are perfect.
In our daily lives, thanking God in advance can be challenging. We often want assurance before we express gratitude, but faith calls us to believe in the unseen. When we say, "Thank you, Lord," before seeing the answer, we’re practicing a faith that honors God. Whether it’s for provision, healing, or guidance, let’s start saying “Thank you” right now. When you wake up, thank Him for the new opportunities; when you face a challenge, thank Him for His strength to overcome. This practice shapes our perspective and brings peace, as we know God is faithful and is already working behind the scenes.
Father, we come with gratitude in our hearts, thanking You in advance for what You’ve promised. Strengthen our faith, that we may stand firm and speak of Your goodness even before we see it. Let our faith bring You pleasure, and may we live each day trusting in Your unfailing love. We give You glory for what is coming and rejoice in what You are already doing in our lives. In Jesus’ name, amen.
If you’ve never experienced the joy of walking by faith, we invite you to join us in this journey with Christ. He is waiting to make Himself known to you, to show you a life built on the firm foundation of His love and promises. Come, and let faith lead you into a new life, one where hope, peace, and confidence in God’s promises become your daily reality. Join us at Ekklesia Christian Life Ministries, and let’s walk together in this life of faith.
