The Beauty of God By Pastor Stephän Kirby
Good morning my Ekklesia Family
This morning, I stood in awe as the sun began to rise over the ocean. The colors—blues, golds, and fiery oranges—danced upon the waves like a living painting. And in that moment, I was reminded: no one but God can do that. The rhythm of the tides, the warmth of the sun, and the brushstrokes across the sky—they all declare the beauty of God. He has given you and me a gift: a day we’ve never seen before.
Now, the question is: What will we do with it? Will we murmur and complain? Or will we rejoice and be glad in it?
Psalm 27:4 (NLT) says, “The one thing I ask of the Lord—the thing I seek most—is to live in the house of the Lord all the days of my life, delighting in the Lord’s perfections and meditating in his Temple.”
David understood that beauty is not just seen in creation, but in the very nature and presence of God Himself. The Hebrew word for beauty here is no'am, which also means pleasantness, grace, and delight. It’s not just what God does—it’s who He is. His beauty is spiritual, eternal, and transforming.
Today, as the sun rises, so too does God’s mercy rise fresh for you (Lamentations 3:22–23). Don’t let the enemy hijack your day with negativity. The same God who painted the ocean’s horizon has painted purpose into your life. Every breath is a brushstroke of His grace.
Look for His beauty in someone else today.
Speak words that reflect the beauty of His Spirit in you.
Choose gratitude. Choose joy. Choose to mirror His light.
Father God, thank You for the beauty of Your creation and for the beauty of Your Spirit within me. I surrender this day to You. Let my words, my actions, and my thoughts reflect the glory of the One who gave me breath. Forgive me when I overlook Your wonders. Strengthen me to walk in joy, to speak life, and to see Your beauty even in broken places. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
Friend, if you’ve never received the beauty of God into your heart, today is your day. He’s not just the Creator of the sunrise; He is the Savior of your soul. Invite Him into your life. Repent, believe, and follow Jesus Christ. Come walk with us at Ekklesia Christian Life Ministries—where we don’t just see beauty, we live it in Christ Jesus.Visit us at EkklesiaChristianLife.org
