3 Types of People in Your Life

Good morning Ekklesia

Today, let's reflect on the three types of people we encounter in our lives: those from around the way, those who are in your way, and those who make a way. Each plays a unique role in our spiritual journey.

Proverbs 27:17 (NLT) - "As iron sharpens iron, so a friend sharpens a friend."

In Proverbs, we see that relationships are crucial to our growth and development. God places different people in our lives for various reasons. Understanding their roles helps us navigate our spiritual journey more effectively.

1. People from Around the Way:

These are acquaintances, neighbors, and colleagues. They form our community and social circles. While their role might seem peripheral, they contribute to our daily interactions and broader sense of belonging.

- Connection: Build meaningful connections by showing kindness and compassion. These relationships can provide support and encouragement in unexpected ways.

- Witness: Let your life be a testimony of God's love. You never know how your actions might influence someone from around the way to seek a deeper relationship with Christ.

2. People Who Are in Your Way:

These individuals may challenge, oppose, or obstruct you. While it might be easy to view them negatively, they often refine our character and faith through trials and obstacles.

- Patience and Forgiveness: Practice patience and extend forgiveness. God uses these experiences to strengthen our resilience and deepen our dependence on Him.

- Growth: Embrace challenges as opportunities for growth. Let these moments drive you closer to God and refine your faith.

3. People Who Make a Way:

These are mentors, friends, and family members who support, guide, and open doors for you. They reflect God's provision and care through their actions and encouragement.

- Gratitude: Express gratitude to those who help you. Recognize their role in your spiritual journey and thank God for their presence in your life.

- Be a Way-Maker: Aspire to be someone who makes a way for others. Support, mentor, and encourage those around you, reflecting Christ's love and guidance.

Each person we encounter plays a role in God's divine plan for our lives. Embrace the lessons and blessings from those around the way, those in your way, and those who make a way. May we grow in wisdom, patience, and love as we navigate these relationships, always reflecting the character of Christ.

Heavenly Father, we thank You for the people You place in our lives. Grant us discernment to recognize those who shape us, challenge us, and guide us closer to You. Help us to be a blessing to others as You have blessed us. May we always reflect Your love and grace in our interactions. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
