Where is Your Treasure

Good morning Ekklesia

“For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.” – Matthew 6:21 (NLT)

It's easy to get caught up in chasing things—money, status, or material possessions. But Jesus, with His piercing clarity, reminds us that what we value reveals where our heart truly lies. If you’re stacking up treasures on earth, watch out, because they’ll eventually crumble, and your soul will follow. But if you choose to treasure eternal things—God’s kingdom, His righteousness, His love—you’ll live in a freedom the world can’t offer.

We must honestly evaluate what has control over our hearts. Is it the pursuit of more, or is it God? If money or possessions have crept into the throne of your heart, now is the time to reset. Jesus isn't asking for a partial surrender; He's asking for your everything. Choose to place your trust and treasure in Him and live contentedly, knowing that what you invest in His kingdom lasts forever.

Father, we come to You today knowing that our hearts can be easily swayed by earthly treasures. Help us to refocus our hearts on what truly matters—Your kingdom. Teach us to let go of anything that hinders our relationship with You. Strengthen us to choose Your eternal values over the fleeting things of this world. We trust that when we treasure You, we have everything we need. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

If you've been holding on to temporary treasures, today is the day to make a change. Join us at Ekklesia Christian Life Ministries, where we believe in treasuring what lasts—God’s love and eternal life. Accept Jesus Christ as your Savior, and let Him transform your heart. We, the Ekklesia family invite you to walk this journey with us. We love you more than you know—because Jesus loves you more than you can imagine.
