Don't Lose Your Will To...
Good Morning Ekklesia
Psalm 23:4a Even when I walk through the darkest valley… New Living Translation
Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, New King James
This morning I want to encourage you not to lose your "will to”.
Do Not Lose Your Will To.
Notice I did not say “want to” because life has a way of throwing things at us and makes us not "want to" do anything. There was somebody who did not want to get out of bed this morning. Life is full of hard struggles and these struggles are real. I know that in our lives we still dealing with covid, financial and economic uncertainty, shortages of food and supplies. Even the death of loved ones...
Some of us have lost out on a job, or it is your business that has collapsed or maybe it's your marriage and relationships and because of wrong choices, everything seems to be beyond repair. Maybe you're feeling depleted and have lost the want to try to make it work, the want to start all over again.
We are with David walking in this Valley... it's dark it's spooky, it's scary, it's unfamiliar territory. If we stay in this Valley for too long we may get comfortable so you can't lose your "will to". Yes, don't lose your will to. What needs to happen is we have to look for the light, now I know the Bible says that it's a dark Valley and it's the shadow of death... but before anything can cast a shadow, some light must be present behind it. And I want you to understand and realize that even in those dark moments God is still your Light. He is right there he's there to give you your "will to" He’s there to help you rediscover your "will to" Your "will to" not stay in that Valle
y for long. That "will to" start over again that "will to" know that you're not by yourself. I want that encourage you this morning to don't lose your "will to" Don't lose your will to dream again, don't lose your will to love again, don't lose your will to live again.
Maybe you're in the valley because you messed up…
1 John 1:9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness.
He told Jeremiah 29:11 For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.
Hebrews 13 20 Now may the God of peace, who through the blood of the eternal covenant brought back from the dead our Lord Jesus, that great Shepherd of the sheep, 21 equip you with everything good for doing his will, and may he work in us what is pleasing to him, through Jesus Christ, to whom be glory forever and ever. Amen.
James 1:5 If any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to you.
Proverbs 3:5 Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; 6 in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight.
Peace and Blessings
